Public transport on Labour Day public holiday
On public holidays, daily myki fare caps apply ($8 full fare and $4 concession/senior), giving you unlimited travel for the day.

Metropolitan train
- Metro trains will run to a Saturday timetable.
- Night Network services will not run.
Metropolitan tram
- Trams run to a Saturday timetable.
- Services will finish as per the normal Monday timetable.
- Night network services will not run.
Regional train and coach
V/Line services will run to a Saturday timetable for the Labour Day public holiday on Monday 9 March, except:
- Swan Hill Line trains will run to a Sunday timetable.
Bendigo Line
- The 3:47pm Eaglehawk to Southern Cross train will depart from Eaglehawk later at 6.45pm.
- This is due to the service originating at Swan Hill and running to a Sunday timetable.
Night Coaches
- All night coaches will not run.
Metropolitan and regional bus
- Metropolitan buses will mostly run to a Saturday timetable
- Regional bus timetables will vary by operator.
- Night network services will not run.
