The Big Bash League is back for another season – bringing all the colour and excitement to the ‘G. Extra services will help you get to and from the MCG on Thursday 8 January.
The match will begin at 7:15 pm and concludes at approximately 10:25 pm.

Additional services for the following lines depart from Richmond and Flinders Street stations after the game:
- Mernda, Greensborough, Flinders Street, Ringwood, Glen Waverley, and Craigieburn.
Pakenham, Cranbourne, Frankston and Sandringham Passengers are to alight on any available service from Jolimont (Platform 1) or Richmond (Platforms 7 & 8) then transfer at Flinders Street for a train to Parliament to enable a bus connection.
Werribee, Williamstown and Sunbury passengers are to alight on any available service from Jolimont (Platform 1) then transfer at Flinders Street for a train to North Melbourne to enable a bus connection.
Craigieburn specials will depart from Flinders Street 30–35 minutes after the match.

Getting to and from the MCG
- Trams will operate as a shuttle between Wellington Parade/Simpson Street Stop 13 and Collins Street/Victoria Harbour Stop D18
- Trams will operate as a shuttle between Flinders Street West Stop 06, and MCG/John Cain Arena stop 7C.
- Trams will operate as a shuttle between Flinders Street Stop 04 and Wellington Parade/Simpson Street Stop 13.
