Public transport for ATSA Independent Living Expo: Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 May 2025
The ATSA Independent Living Expo will be coming to Melbourne at the Melbourne Showgrounds! Public transport is your best way to enjoy it, with extra services to help you get to and from the Melbourne Showgrounds on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 May.
The event will run:
- Tuesday 20 May: 8am to 4.30pm
- Wednesday 21 May: 8.30am to 3pm

Metropolitan train
Getting to and from Melbourne Showgrounds
Trains will operate from Flinders Street (Platform 8/9), Southern Cross (Platform 13/14), stopping at North Melbourne (Platform 5/6), then express to Melbourne Showgrounds (Platform 1) in both directions.
- From 8.55am, services will operate every 40 minutes.
The last train to depart from Melbourne Showgrounds will depart at 3.35pm.
Metropolitan tram
Getting to and from Flemington Racecourse
- Trams will operate via Route 57 between Stop 1: Flinders Street / Elizabeth Street, stopping via Stop 32: Sandown Road/ Epsom Road via Flemington Road for passengers wishing to go to the expo.

Metropolitan bus
Getting to and from Melbourne Showgrounds
The following bus route travels close to Melbourne Showgrounds:
- Route 472 (Williamstown to Moonee Ponds via Footscray)
Passengers can catch buses from Footscray Station and alight at Langs Road/Showgrounds.

Getting to Melbourne Showgrounds
Passengers arriving at North Melbourne and Southern Cross stations are advised to change trains and catch a Melbourne Showgrounds service.

Leaving the Melbourne Showgrounds
Passengers are advised to catch any train from Melbourne Showgrounds and alight at Southern Cross or North Melbourne stations and change to a regional train.
