Public transport for the 2025 Easter Long Weekend

Public transport services will operate to a public holiday timetable on Good Friday 18 April and Easter Monday 21 April, but some services may be altered or will not run.

During public holidays, your daily myki fare is capped at $7.60 ($3.80 for concessions and seniors). 

While some concession holders may benefit from free travel on weekends, please note this entitlement does not extend to public holiday weekend timetables. During public holidays, normal myki fare caps apply to all passengers, including seniors.

Good Friday 18 April

Metropolitan train

Trains will operate to a Sunday timetable, with Night Trains running as normal.

Trams will operate to a Sunday frequency, with Night Network running as normal.

City Circle trams will not run.

V/Line trains will run to a Sunday timetable.

Regional coach

V/Line coaches will run to an altered timetable. Night Network coaches will not run.

Easter Saturday 19 April

All services will run to a normal Saturday timetable.

Castlemaine and Swan Hill town networks will not run.

V/Line trains will run to a Saturday timetable for the Easter Monday public holiday on Monday 21 April, except for Swan Hill Line trains which will run to a Sunday timetable.

Bendigo Line

Please note the 3.47pm Eaglehawk to Southern Cross train will depart from Eaglehawk later at 6.48pm. This is due to the service originating at Swan Hill and running to a Sunday timetable.

Regional coach

V/Line coaches will run to an altered timetable. Night Network coaches will not run.
