Get ready for the Port Fairy Folk Festival returning to Southcombe Park in Port Fairy in 2025! There will be additional services on Monday to get you home from the event.

Before you travel
There will be changes to road conditions for the festival and this will impact on bus services around Port Fairy. Please see below for further information on service changes.
Bookings are essential for V/Line trains to Warrnambool to connect with services to and from Port Fairy and attendees planning to catch a train are advised to plan ahead.
Passengers must reserve a seat in advance to travel on V/Line services to Warrnambool. Reservations can be made online on the V/Line website and mobile app, by calling 1800 800 077 or in person at a V/Line Staffed Stations, V/Line ticket agent or a Metro premium station.

Regional train
Getting to Port Fairy
Passengers can catch regular services to Warrnambool Railway Station and then connect with bus and coach services to Port Fairy.
Leaving Port Fairy
Passengers can catch regular bus and additional coach services from Port Fairy and then connect to regular trains departing Warrnambool Railway Station.
To assist patrons leaving the event, VLine will run additional coach services between Port Fairy and Warrnambool on Monday 10 March 2025, departing:
- Port Fairy to Warrnambool departing 10.20am
- Port Fairy to Warrnambool departing 4.32pm
Regional bus
Getting to Port Fairy Folk Festival
Passengers can catch a Festival Bus Shuttle running between Warrnambool and the Festival, and Gum Tree Caravan Park and the Festival.
There is also a Festival Shuttle Bus that does a circuit of the town every 30 minutes, finishing at the Festival Arena. This bus operates regularly throughout the Festival on a gold coin donation. The Shuttle Bus is a low floor bus with pram and wheel chair access.

Regular Bus Service Changes
Due to the road closures on Campbell Street, Sackville Street and Bank in Port Fairy, the following services will be impacted from Friday to Monday:
- Route 08 Warrnambool – Port Fairy
- VLine Warrnambool to Melbourne via Ararat and Hamilton
- VLine Mt Gambier to Melbourne via Warrnambool and Geelong coaches.
The following bus stops will not be serviced from 2pm Friday until last service Monday 11th March:
- Bank Street/Port Fairy Visitor Centre ID 47393,
- Bank Street/Port Fairy Visitor Centre ID 36550
- Campbell Street/Sackville Street ID 47429
- Gipps Street/History Centre ID 47417
- Gipps Street/Fish & Chippery ID 47405
A temporary bus stop will be in place for services:
- 40 Bank Street, (in James Street, opposite Victoria Hotel)
