On 1 January 2025, public transport fares in Victoria will increase.
The daily full fare cap will increase to $11.00 or $5.50 for a concession. On weekends or public holidays, daily fares will also increase to $7.60 or $3.80 for concessions.
The increase will add 40 cents to the full daily fare for Zone 1, Zone 1+2 metropolitan fares, and the regional fare cap. The regional fare cap continues to deliver fairer fares, ensuring that fares across regional Victoria remain capped at the same amount as metropolitan daily fares.
For regional Victorians, the full two-hour fare for the regional town bus will increase by 20 cents to $3.00, and the daily fare will increase by 40 cents to $6.00.
