Extreme heat service impacts on Monday 16 December 2024

Hot weather is forecast for parts of Victoria on Monday 16 December 2024.

In extreme heat train and tram services can be affected. Speed restrictions may be introduced to ensure trains can run safely and reliably.

Trams may also be affected by hot weather, and buses may replace trams on sections of the network.

Please continue to check the PTV website, allow extra time for your journey and take water to stay hydrated.

V/Line

Extreme heat timetables will be operating across parts of the V/Line network. This means journey times may be extended by a few minutes, and some services will be replaced by air-conditioned coaches for all or part of the journey.

Yarra Trams

Route 12 trams will not run between Stop 1 Southern Cross station and Victoria Gardens.

Passengers may consider Route 109 trams as an alternative.
