New bus interchange for Pakenham

From 8 December, the new bus interchange at Pakenham Station will open, making it easier and safer to connect to trains and buses. Six metro and five regional bus routes will use the new bus interchange.

As part of the Level Crossing Removal Project, the interchange will relocate from Station Street to Railway Avenue.

Routes 840, 925, 926, 927, 928 and 929, as well as five regional bus routes, will have minor timetable, route and stop changes to access the new bus interchange.

The five regional bus routes are Koo Wee Rup – Pakenham, Warragul – Pakenham, Pakenham – Garfield and Southern Cross – Traralgon Night Coaches.

The Route 840 extension to Pakenham Place Shopping Centre will be removed, with the route now beginning and ending at Pakenham Station.

There will be no change to operating hours or frequency.
