Route 35, 70, and 75 trams will experience service changes from 3:30pm to last service each day, Friday 28 June to Sunday 30 June 2024, due to road closures in Harbour Esplanade for Firelight Festival.

Metropolitan tram service changes
3.30pm to last tram each day
- Route 35 (City Circle) trams run in both directions between Waterfront City Docklands and Stop D6 Flinders Street West via La Trobe Street and Spring Street.
3.30pm to 12am each day
- Route 70 trams run a shortened service between Wattle Park and Stop D6 Flinders Street West.
- Route 75 trams run a shortened service between Vermont South and Stop D6 Flinders Street West.
9.30pm to 12am each day
- Additional Route 48 trams run between Victoria Harbour and Stop 7 101 Collins Street.
- Additional Route 86 trams run between Waterfront City Docklands and Stop 7 Russell Street.
Tram stop changes
The following tram stops will be closed during the event:
- Stop D5 The Goods Shed
- Stop D4 Docklands Park
- Stop D3 Stadium Precinct
Alternative travel
- Route 11 and Route 48 trams in Collins Street to Victoria Harbour Docklands.
- Route 30 trams in La Trobe Street to Central Pier, Docklands.
Additional trams will operate on Route 86 from 9:30pm to midnight from Stop D11 Waterfront City to Stop 7 Russell St/ Bourke St on Friday 28 June to Sunday 30 June 2024.
Planned train disruptions
Buses replace trains on sections of the Lilydale, Cranbourne, and Pakenham lines this weekend.
- Passengers should allow extra time when travelling to and from the festival.
- Please be aware after the game there may be increased congestion and delays getting onto the platforms at Southern Cross Station.
