Public transport for White Night Ballarat 2024

White Night returns on Saturday 1 June, transforming the streets and venues of Ballarat through illuminations, projections, music, and interactive works. The event runs from 6pm on Saturday to midnight.
Public transport is the best way to get to and from the event. We're running extra services from 5:30pm Saturday to 1am Sunday.
There will also be a special FREE White Night bus network and Park and Ride shuttle buses to transport you to the various White Night events across Ballarat.
Touching on and off with your myki is still required for regional train, coaches and buses, with a maximum weekend daily fare of $7.20 or $3.60 concession.
Some roads will be closed, and parking restricted, from 7am Friday 31 May to 7am Sunday 2 June.

Getting to and from Ballarat
Regional train and coach
To Ballarat
Trains run to a normal timetable from Southern Cross Station to Ballarat Station.
Coaches run to a normal timetable with some service changes to routes due to White Night events from 7am Friday 31 May to 7am Sunday 2 June.
From Ballarat
We're running extra services from Ballarat to get you home from White Night.
Trains will depart from Ballarat Station to Southern Cross Station at 10:29pm Saturday 1 June and 12:01am Sunday 2 June.
If you don’t make the train, there are two night coaches leaving from Ballarat Station to Southern Cross Station at 12:30am and 1am Sunday 2 June.

Regional bus
Ballarat buses will run to a normal timetable, with some service changes to routes due to White Night events from 7am Friday 31 May to 7am Sunday 2 June.
Extra services
We're running special Free White Night bus services from 5:30pm Saturday 1 June to 1am Sunday 2 June. Services will operate to and from Ballarat Railway Station Bus Terminal via Railway Parade.
Trains will run across the Lydiard Street level crossing on the night. Use the temporary pedestrian crossings on Lydiard Street for your safety.
White Night bus network
The free White Night buses will run to and from Ballarat Railway Station Bus Terminal every 30 minutes from 8:30pm Saturday until 1am Sunday.
These buses will stop at bus stops with 'White Night Bus Bubble' signs and other stops. Download the bus timetables below.

Park and Ride shuttle bus
We're also running a free express Park and Ride shuttle every 30 minutes from 5:30pm Saturday to 1am Sunday from Ballarat Aquatic and Lifestyle Centre,(BALC) to Ballarat Railway Station.
You can catch the shuttle bus at the service lane in front of the BALC entrance on Prince of Wales Recreation Reserve, Gillies Street North.

Service disruptions
Some bus and coach routes and stops will change from 7am Friday 31 May due to White Night Ballarat road closures.
