Planned closures

Due to the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race in Geelong, the Bellarine and Surf Coast bus Routes 1, 20, 24, 41, 42, 43, 50, 51, 55 and 101 (Apollo Bay - Geelong) will experience delays, be diverted in both directions and selected bus stops will not be serviced on Thursday 25 January, Saturday 27 January and Sunday 28 January 2024.

Additionally, on Saturday 27 January, the Warrnambool Line will be suspended between Waurn Ponds and Warrnambool, affecting the 11:44am Warrnambool to Melbourne and 1:00pm Southern Cross to Warrnambool services. Replacement coaches will be available from Geelong Station.

Getting to Geelong

Passengers can catch regular services arriving at Geelong and Marshall Railway Station and connect with bus services to Torquay.

Leaving Geelong

Passengers can return via bus services from Torquay and catch regular services departing Geelong and Marshall Railway Station.

Stop changes from 2pm to 3pm

Due to road closures on Bell Street and The Esplanade for the Surf Coast Classic, the following bus stops will not be serviced on Route 50 and 51:

Getting to Geelong

Passengers can catch regular services arriving at Geelong Railway Station.

Due to the suspension of services on the Warrnambool Line between Waurn Ponds and Warrnambool, the following services will be affected and replacement coaches will be available for passengers from Geelong Station.

Leaving Geelong

Passengers can catch regular services departing Geelong Railway Station.

Due to temporary and rolling road closures in place for the UCI Women’s Elite Road Race, there will be delays and service changes to bus Routes 1, 20, 24, 41, 42, 43, 50, 51, 55 and 101 (Apollo Bay - Geelong) around Geelong, the Bellarine and Surf Coast.
