Metropolitan train
Getting to the Melbourne Showgrounds
Train services will operate from Southern Cross Station (Platform 8) to Melbourne Showgrounds stopping at North Melbourne (Platform 2), and then into Melbourne Showgrounds (Platform 1).
Trains depart Southern Cross Station from:
- 10.49am until 7.49pm every 20 minutes
Leaving the Melbourne Showgrounds
Train services will operate from Melbourne Showgrounds (Platform 1) to Southern Cross Station (Platform 8), stopping at North Melbourne (Platform 1), then into Southern Cross Station (Platform 8).
Trains to depart from:
- 11.11am until 9:30pm every 20 minutes

Passengers can catch a Route 57 tram, alighting at Stop 32 Sandown Rd/Epsom Road.

Passengers arriving at North Melbourne and Southern Cross stations are advised to change trains and catch a Melbourne Showgrounds service.
- Arriving at Southern Cross Station, change to Platform 14 and catch a Flemington / Melbourne Showgrounds service
- Arriving at North Melbourne Station, change to Platform 6 and catch a Flemington / Melbourne Showgrounds service
