Public transport for the AFL State of Origin Victoria v All Stars Match: Friday 28 February 2020

Extra public transport is running for all AFL fans for the Bushfire Appeal AFL State of Origin game between Victoria and the All Stars!

It's anticipated 53,000 people will be attending this unique game, with the first bounce at 7.50pm.

Don't forget the night kicks off with the AFLW operner between Collingwood and Melbourne at 5:40pm.

Night train icon Night Train

If you're kicking on after the game, Night Train services will be operating as usual on Friday night.

Night Train runs hourly on all lines, all night, except Stony Point and Flemington Racecourse.

If you're kicking on after the game, Night Tram services will be operating as usual on Friday night.

Night Tram runs every 30 minutes all night on Routes 19, 67, 75, 86, 96 and 109.

Services will operate to a normal weekday timetable. There will be additional services on some lines. Some V/Line stations will be serviced by coaches running direct to Southern Cross Station Coach Terminal.

Geelong line

After the game

Passengers for Geelong / Waurn Ponds can catch the 10.45pm train service from Southern Cross Station which will have additional seats. This service will be delayed and depart 10:55pm

Passengers for Waurn Ponds can catch the 11:30pm train service from Southern Cross Station which will have additional seats.

Ballarat line

Before the Game

The 3:15pm Wendouree to Southern Cross train will have additional seats.

After the Game 

Passengers for Bacchus Marsh can catch the additional service 10.55pm train service from Southern Cross Station which will have extra capacity. This service will be delayed and depart 10:55pm

Passengers for Wendouree can catch the 10:55pm train service from Southern Cross Station which will have extra capacity. This service will be delayed and depart at 11:05pm.

Bendigo line

After the Game

Passengers can catch the 10.52pm service from Southern Cross Station which will have extra capacity. This service will be delayed and depart 11:02pm

Seymour line

After the Game

Additional coaches will depart from Southern Cross Station at 10:55pm setting down all stations to Seymour

Traralgon line

Road coaches replace trains on the Bairnsdale and Traralgon lines from the evening of Friday 28 February to the last service on Sunday 1 March, due to Metro works.

Night Coach departs from Southern Cross Coach terminal travelling to Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Seymour and Traralgon.
