To assist racers and fans get to Puffing Billy's Great Train Race on Sunday 5 May 2019, PTV has added a few additional services to help you get to the race line in time for the challenge. 

The Great Train Race starts at 9am.

Belgrave Train Station is a 3-minute walk to the Start Line on Belgrave-Gembrook Rd, Belgrave.

PTV and event organisers strongly recommend arriving at the start line in Belgrave by Metro Trains, as Belgrave township has limited parking.

Getting to Belgrave Station

Two additional train services will operate from Flinders Street to Belgrave.

The trains are to depart Flinders Street Station at:

• 6.38am, arriving at Belgrave 7.45am
• 7.08am, arriving at Belgrave 8.15am

Passengers can also drive to stations along the Belgrave line and complete their journey by train.
